Overview

Background

I was raised within a very successful family-business environment, creating a passion for entrepreneurship and business management.  I have extensive experience of lecturing on both business and management programmes and seven years experience of managing a “Business and Management Curriculum Area” of a North Wales college, across its two campuses.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lecturing and Personal Academic Tutor duties.
  • Module Leader for BU4011, BU5002 and BU5302 modules.
  • Undergraduate Dissertation Supervision.

Memberships

Member of the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurship.

Esteem Indicators

I am privileged to support Wrexham’s Hospital Radio service (Radio Maelor) and the work it does for the patients of the Wrexham Maelor Hospital.   I have supported this charity, over recent years, in the guise of Publicity Officer, Co-ordinator of “Friends of Radio Maelor” Committee member and as a regular presenter of a Monday evening programme broadcasting to the patients. I have also organised fund raising events on behalf of the charity, for example “Variety Act” concerts.

Informal Interests

Interests include performing musically (drums and percussion), Gardening , DIY, Creative writing and History.

Commissioned to research and author a report entitled “An Analysis Of The Food And Drink Industry Within North East Wales” – March 2010.

Extensive contributions to published Management and Team Leading Texts and Work Books.
