Volunteering

Students gain valuable skills and unique employment opportunities through volunteering. The University has a large number of students who are engaged in volunteering and we are always looking for new opportunities.

If you are a not-for-profit, charity or community organisation and may be able to offer students a volunteering placement, please contact The Volunteering and Mentoring Team on volunteering@chester.ac.uk / 01244 513201 for Chester or 01925 534282 for Warrington.

One Day - Work Shadowing

Work Shadowing is your opportunity as an employer to help shape the career ambitions of a student or recent graduate and thus enhance future recruitment. We are looking for employers who will host a student for half a day or a day and allow them to "shadow" one of your employees as they go about their work.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to meet prospective future employees and to see what current University students may be able to offer your business. Our students gain a great deal from these visits; they provide an opportunity for them to enhance their understanding of the world of work and particular careers. It is also a great way to raise the profile of your business within the student community. If you would like to get involved please contact the UniJob team, unijob@chester.ac.uk / 01244 513066.
