The Warrington Campus combines the best of long-established university traditions with up-to-the-minute modern developments.
Within the space of a few hours I realised I had made the right choice. The small community campus feel gives you the ideal opportunity to mix with people from other courses and gives you even more contact time with your lecturer
At Warrington, the University provides a close knit community campus offering innovative courses with a close eye on employability and transferable skills. The thirty acre site has excellent teaching, social and recreational facilities to support the academic work of undergraduate public services courses (education, nursing, policing, safeguarding and social work); the North West Media Centre (advertising, TV, radio and commercial music production, media, digital photography and film); the Warrington School of Management (business, hospitality and events management); and the Department of Sport and Community Engagement (sport development and coaching). Postgraduate courses are also available in the Department of Media (broadcast media, media, multiplatform production, radio and television production), Education and Children’s Services (PGCE Primary/Early Years, including School Direct), Health & Social Care (non-medical prescribing, social work) and the Warrington School of Management (creative industries, health services and technology management, digital marketing, management with finance and MBA).
The Warrington campus enjoys a range of multi-professional partnerships within both the public sector and the media world. Both undergraduate and postgraduate students are often able to combine two subject areas that correspond to their career ambitions – for example digital photography and journalism, radio and commercial music production, business and events management, policing, law and investigation to name just a few.
Please see our course listings for further details.
All student accommodation is located on campus, and catering outlets include The Garden Dining Room, Terrace Cafe and BarTwenty10. Cat 1251 AM, Warrington campus' own radio station, is presented, produced and run by students, and broadcasts locally as well as over the internet.
