Gary Kitchen

Visiting Research Fellow

Gary studied philosophy at York and Essex, publishing a number of articles from his doctoral research in refereed journals before taking employment outside acadème.

Overview

Gary worked for charities such as Help the Aged and Princess Royal Trust for Carers, and went on to establish Get Heard Consultancy in 2002. Since then the consultancy has undertaken a large number of research and evaluation projects, many of which have a public health component. In 2008 Gary founded and edited The Journal of Voluntary Sector Research - a pilot publication to make available the best research carried out by or for the voluntary sector.
