Lisa Rowe

Director of Business Engagement and Partnerships; Deputy Head Centre for Work Related Studies

Lisa Rowe is leading the design, development and growth of a number of work-based programmes for the Faculty of Business & Management, including the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship and the Senior Leaders Master's Degree Apprenticeship.

Overview

With 11 years' management experience in UK Retail Banking within the Lloyds Group and more than 15 years in HE, Lisa's most recent responsibilities include the design, development and ongoing management of two of the first degree apprenticeship programmes in the UK, the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship and the Senior Leaders Master's Degree Apprenticeship. 

Lisa is currently focused upon programme growth, working in partnership with business leaders, professional institutes, other universities, colleges, providers, agencies and faculties to ensure the collaborative design and development of a comprehensive and accredited portfolio of degree level apprenticeships, to meet the needs of a wide range of organisations across a number of sectors. 

Lisa manages the ILM Centre and the Cheshire Professional Institute Network for the University. She sits on the Chester Growth Partnership Inward Investment Board, Cheshire West Skills Strategy Board and judges for the Cheshire Business Awards. She is also an external adviser for Birkbeck University of London, Teeside, University, University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), UCLan Burnley College & University of Huddersfield. She is also an Apprenticeships Ambassador for the North West region.
