The Harlequin Project

Since 2004, Harlequin has been helping community organisations, charities and small businesses promote their work through information technologies and digital media

The Harlequin project helps mainly locally-based groups and independent artists to store, promote and publish their work, including musical and theatre productions. The initiative enables students to undertake real work experience during their academic studies and enhance their employability through direct contact with industry.

Recent work includes the development of a wide range of content-managed web sites, and the production of video and audio material for the 2013 cycle of the internationally-renowned Chester Mystery Plays. Past clients include Fireflies choir, Scout Network, The Firs school, and St Oswald & St Thomas of Canterbury Church. This project is part of the consultancy and knowledge transfer work of the Department.
