Prior to joining the Faculty of Education, Sarah spent 14 years in secondary education, working almost exclusively in challenging inner city schools.

Overview

Previous posts: Vice Principal (Learning and Progress), Assistant Head (Teaching and Learning), Head of Faculty (Performing and Creative Arts), Head of Department (Drama), Drama Teacher. Taught Drama, Theatre Studies, and English in secondary schools in Salford, Lancashire, London, Bristol and West Sussex.

As a senior leader she was responsible for Teaching and Learning, and Pupil Progress had oversight of staff CPD including ITT and NQT colleagues, she was also a facilitator for the ‘Outstanding and Improving teacher’ programmes.

Sarah left teaching in 2013 to pursue further study and begin work for the University on Mentor development before moving to her current role.

Sarah is studying for an EdD with Chester University, having previously completed two masters’ degrees at Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, and Bristol University.
