Undergraduate Courses

Our degrees are taught by industry active staff, who encourage further collaborative opportunities for students by attracting national and internationally renowned artists and performers to either perform, or undertake workshops for students studying at the Kingsway Campus.

We build on academic enquiry, as well as professional and practical development; giving students the time to explore practically the terms and concepts used in class, whilst developing as a versatile thinking artist.

As a Department we have strong partnerships with a number of organisations, and are active in our programming - actively encouraging students to get involved in performance opportunities as and when they occur. This interplay of theory and practice in the contemporary performing arts is central to the Department's ethos and is expressed through teaching and learning, professional practice, consultancy and research, and through the development of a performance culture.

We aim to support and encourage you throughout your journey at Chester to become a confident, enterprising and independent practitioner. In addition to gaining subject- based knowledge, you will also gain a range of transferable skills that are suitable to a wide range of contexts.
