Dr Ceri Nicholas

Senior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Physiology

Qualifications

BA (Hons), PGCE, MSc, PhD

Overview

Ceri joined the Department in April 2006 from the University of Essex where she lectured in the Centre for Sport and Exercise Science for three years. Prior to this, she was a Research Fellow at Loughborough University. Ceri is the Department's Research Development Officer, Programme Leader for MSc Exercise and Nutrition Science and Joint Programme Leader for MSc Sports Science.

Teaching

Her specialist area is exercise physiology and Ceri teaches on the following undergraduate and postgraduate modules:

  • Measurement and Evaluation Issues in Sport and Exercise Physiology (Year 2)
  • Sports Nutrition and Performance (Year 3)
  • Research Methods (MSc)
  • Contemporary Issues in Sport Physiology (MSc)
  • Optimising Performance (MSc)
  • Applied Sports Physiology (MSc)

Ceri also supervises dissertation students at undergraduate and masters level specialising in Exercise Physiology.
