Assessment is through a combination of assignments, examinations, group and individual projects and seminar contributions, allowing you to study organisations you work within, your management and the changing environment in which you operate.

Entry can be obtained on to this course providing you have either the relevant qualifications or workplace experience.

 

Qualifications

We will consider applications from candidates who hold one of the following qualifications:

  • GCE and/or VCE A Levels
  • BTEC National Diploma/Certificate
  • NVQ Level 3
  • Advanced GNVQ
  • Advanced Modern Apprenticeships in an appropriate subject
  • Irish Highers/Scottish Highers
  • QAA recognised Access to HE Diploma, Open College Units or Open University Credits
  • Evidence of learning undertaken at work (APL/APEL)
  • Substantive managerial/supervisory experience

Students should be in full-time employment or have personal access to work experience

If you have attained previous academic qualifications, you may be able to access Level 5 (Year 2) of the programme, for example if you have an HNC in Business or if you have equivalent qualifications or relevant experience.

 

Alternative entry

Although the content of this Foundation Degree does have a strong emphasis on the workplace, its design is such that people who are currently not working will not be precluded.
