ADNAT (Adolescent Diabetes Needs Assessment Tool)

Out of 17 countries, the UK has one of the poorest levels of diabetes control in young people so helping them to learn how to effectively manage their disease is a priority.

What is recognised, however, is that such learning takes time, develops gradually and is shaped by individual need. This study forms the third part of a programme of research work aimed at addressing this need.

ADNAT is a unique technological tool providing a cost-effective clinical device to identify the learning needs of young people and for auditing progress. In time, ADNAT will become a learning system with ‘e' learning resources available to all young people.
