Continuing Professional Development

We offer a range of courses and modules to enable you to continue your professional development and achieve further qualifications in your field.  These can be accessed either through CPD Apply or directly through the Health and Social Care Admissions department ( depending on how you are funding your education. 

Applying for CPD Apply funded modules and programmes

CPD-Apply is the ONLY way to apply for SLA CPD/PQ modules funded by Health Education North West.  A full list of modules and programmes offered by the University of Chester can be viewed by following the link.

For NHS staff, modules may be funded by Health Education North West and staff should :-

  • Contact the their organisation's training lead in the learning and development team for more information.
  • Investigate the module that is relevant to individual requirements to decide on the mode of delivery that suits and agree this with their line manager.
  • Use the secure CPD-Apply website to make an application.

Please contact your Line Manager or HR Department for details of the training lead.


Applying independently for non CPD Apply funded modules and programmes

Practitioners can access all our available provision from our portfolio of Post Qualification Modules which provide a framework of learning and development for professional health and social care staff.  Modules can be studied on a stand-alone basis or as part of a post-registration award.

There are undergraduate and postgraduate modules available, so whatever stage your career is at, you should be able to find a module that's right for you.
