Entering the High Sheriff’s Awards for Enterprise 2016/17 is straightforward.
How to Enter
To nominate your business for the High Sheriff's Awards for Enterprise 2016/17, please complete the entry form and submit it along with a supporting statement on why you are entering the award(s). Supporting statements should be approx one page in length. In addition, you may include any relevant company brochures to support your entry.
Please view our award categories and select the category or categories you wish to enter. You can enter a maximum of two categories. Please complete a supporting statement for each category (if applying for two).

Essential entry criteria for the High Sheriff's Award for Enterprise 2016/17, the High Sheriff's Award for Responsible Business Practice, Mornflake Oats Award for Innovation, Roberts Bakery Family Business Award of Excellence, Award for Training, Development and Opportunity for Young People, The Apprenticeship Awards and the Cheshire Business Exporter of the Year are as follows:
The entrants must:
- Be based in Cheshire West and Chester, Cheshire East, Halton or Warrington.
- Have an annual turnover of between £500,000 and £25m.
- Employ between 5-250 (fte) members of staff.
- Demonstrate outstanding performance and explain their strategy to ensure that the company will continue to expand and flourish in the future
There are no specific entry requirements for the Cheshire Business Leaders Award for the Outstanding Cheshire & Warrington Business Leader.
Essential entry criteria for the Cheshire Business Leaders Award for the Cheshire & Warrington Entrepreneur of the Year: Entrants must be running a business that has been trading for a maximum of three years.
