How to Apply
When applying to the University of Chester, you will need to start planning well in advance of the proposed start date for your chosen programme of study.
Please note that all undergraduate and certain postgraduate courses have specific applications deadlines. For undergraduate deadlines please visit the UCAS website.
Whilst the majority of our postgraduate programmes do not have an exact application deadline, we strongly advise international students to apply as early as possible before the start of their degree to allow us sufficient time to process your application and to give you plenty of time to apply for your visa, and make any necessary travel and accommodation arrangements. When applying late there is also a risk of popular programmes becoming full.
The Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Research application processes vary considerably so please follow the relevant link to obtain detailed information on how to apply.
Applicants from non-native English speaking countries are expected to meet the following English Language requirements:
IELTS Academic for UKVI:
- Foundation: 4.5 (no less than 4.0 in any band)
- Undergraduate: 6.0 (no less than 5.5 in any band)
- Postgraduate: 6.5 (no less than 5.5 in any band)
If you are not sure, we are happy to provide you with advice and support about choosing a programme of study, gaining the necessary pre-entry qualifications, or completing your application form.
