Near Chester and Warrington is the beautiful countryside of Cheshire, North Wales, the Snowdonia mountains, and the Lake District, which is ideal for climbers or walkers.
There are several lively seaside towns within a short distance. Some of Cheshire's most impressive country houses can be found close by, including Tatton Park, Dunham Massey and Arley Hall and Gardens. For those who enjoy big city life, the cosmopolitan cities of Manchester and Liverpool are each about forty minutes away by train or car.
