Country-specific entry requirements and information for undergraduate and postgraduate applicants.

Please note that these are general entry requirements. Some courses may have additional entry requirements such as previous work experience, submission of written work or previous study of a particular subject. Some courses, for example those in the faculty of Health and Social Care or MSc Marketing Communications and Public Relations, may require a higher level of English.


Undergraduate (Bachelor's Degree)

 

Academic requirements

  • High School Certificate AND completed a recognized foundation course
  • Junior College Diploma
  • Technical College / Institute or Polytechnic Diploma

English Language requirements

  • Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) with scores of at least 51 in all 4 components
  • IELTS 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in each band)
  • TOEFL  IBT 78 with score of: listening 17, reading 18, speaking 20, writing 17

Postgraduate (Master's Degree)

Academic requirements

  • Bachelor degree from a recognized Taiwanese University

 

English Language requirements

  • Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) with overall score of 57 and no less than 51 in any component
  • IELTS 6.5 (with no less than 5.5 in each band)
  • TOEFL IBT with an overall score of 85 and the following minimum scores in the components: listening 17, reading 18, speaking 20, writing 17

Postgraduate (Research Degree)

Academic requirements

Each application is assessed on its own merits but we do expect students to hold Master's Degree

English Language requirements

  • Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) Postgraduate 58 and no less than 51 in any component
  • IELTS 6.5 (with no less than 5.5 in each band)
  • TOEFL(internet) 85 and the following minimum scores in each component: listening 17, reading 18, speaking 20, writing 17
