Knowledge into Action

This project is designed to support regional SMEs in unlocking their innovation capacity. It will establish a network of small businesses across sectors in order to promote new relationships, innovation capacity and new connections between higher education and industry in the North West.

Over the three years of the project, university members of the consortium will recruit SMEs and work closely with them in order to uncover innovation challenges, provide coaching and arrange expert speakers in relation to specifically identified issue areas.

Key to the KAN are the cross-sector Knowledge Action Groups, which will enable business leaders to support each other across areas of shared concern and also create lasting relationships which will become self-sustaining. Futhermore the project will assist participant within innovation support services indicating the most relevant opportunities available.

The University of Chester has a significant track record of stimulating growth and working with SMEs in the North West and is looking forward to working with you within the Knowledge Action Network.
