Learning Disability nurses support individuals and families across the age continuum, from children to older people, in both community and residential settings promoting person-centred care. Mental Health nursing is both an art and a science based on philosophy of holistic person-centred care, which focuses on promoting recovery and improving outcomes for people experiencing mental health problems.  Both fields are challenging and rewarding, and the Faculty of Health and Social Care’s Bachelor of Nursing programme will prepare and support you through your training in these fields.

If you are considering going into Mental Health nursing or Learning Disability nursing and want more information about what we can offer you, tune in on Wednesday 3rd December at 4pm for a live broadcast from members of the Pre-Registration Nursing Mental Health and Learning Disability Programme Team to have your questions answered.
