“Studying Religious Studies at Chester provides you with the opportunity to not only study the major world religions, but to study them in a number of different ways. The course allows you to study modules in ritual studies and religion and culture, which provides a unique learning experience. Throughout the course, there are also chances to participate in field trips which help consolidate key beliefs and theories through firsthand experience of religious traditions. Apart from the excellent variety of the course, there is excellent support from the course lecturers, other members of staff and fellow peers. This has been one of the biggest plus points of my time in the department.”

"I have found the theology programme very satisfying and stimulating.  It systematically covers many aspects of theology, some I didn’t know existed!  The teaching is really excellent; the staff are both academically rigorous and very approachable.  I have found TRS very understanding of mature students."

(Helen Thomas, former student)

‘Throughout the TRS course I have been provided with a warm and supportive environment which has enabled my studies to excel. I have been able to fulfil my curiosity of Hinduism and create new interests in topics such as feminism. Three years seemed like such a long time when the course began, now it seems like a blip ... I have loved every second!’
