Zoo project-style party fundraiser in Padgate

Events Management students continue to raise thousands for local charities.

The term saw students who undertake TM5006 undertake their event as part of their assessment for TM50006-Planning and Managing Events. Over £6000 was raised for local charities and students had lots of fun doing it.

Next year the module team is hoping to raise even more money for local charities and Level 4 students are already being encouraged to start thinking about their events. Below is one of the events which Warrington students undertook A HIT Ibiza club event was the inspiration for a fundraiser in Padgate.

A group of event management students at the University of Chester campus hosted the Zoo Project-style party.  The £500 raised was in aid of the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust, a Lymm charity that provides holidays for terminally ill children.

Pippa Watton, from the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust, said:

  • “It is wonderful to have the students putting in so much time and effort in order to benefit a younger, more disadvantaged, generation.”
