“Hola!” from Barcelona

A research trip to Barcelona meant that Connie Hancock could collaborate with her counterpart, Esther Hormiga, at the University of Barcelona on a paper for the Global Innovation and Knowledge Academy (GIKA) conference in Valencia in
July.

The Bi-Annual Conference provides a platform to discuss challenges pertaining to contemporary issues in Innovation and Knowledge. Connie and Esther forged a partnership after working together during an Entrepreneurship Educators’ Programme at Babson College in Boston, USA.

Esther has travelled a number of times to Chester, with the two  undertaking research in the field of entrepreneurship. They have co-authored a paper on entrepreneurial propensity, due for publication in the coming months.

During the few days spent at the University of Barcelona, Connie attended ‘Biz Barcelona’ (see above) a fair that offered key tools for entrepreneurs, held at the Fira de Barcelona.

A return trip to the University is scheduled for August when Connie will deliver a talk to academic staff on tools and techniques for the facilitation of entrepreneurial thought and behaviour in students.
