I have no doubt that my embryonic experience at Chester was fundamental in my later development and I would recommend my experience to anyone.

Graduated: BA (Hons) English Literature with Creative Writing.

Currently: AHRC funded PhD candidate at the University of Southampton and Tate Liverpool.

My English Literature with Creative Writing BA at the University of Chester laid the foundations for the rest of my academic life, providing me with the critical awareness to engage with a plethora of academic and non-academic challenges. The welcoming community of tutors and colleagues was always keen to assist me in whatever capacity and offered a safe and encouraging environment in which free thinking flourished. It was the unending enthusiasm of the staff for their subject that inspired me to choose to further my education after I had completed my undergraduate study. Following my BA I did an MA at King's College London in Cultural Theory and I am currently undertaking an AHRC funded PhD at The University of Southampton and Tate Liverpool. I have no doubt that my embryonic experience at Chester was fundamental in my later development and I would recommend my experience to anyone.
