Inspire Events will present A Night of the Arts which will take place at Alexander’s Bar in Chester on Sunday, February 10 from 7pm and is open to members of the public. Tickets can be purchased in advance for £5 or alternatively on the door for £6 with all proceeds donated to the Nordoff Robbins Charity, which works with disabled adults and children by helping them to express themselves through the medium of music. It will showcase the artwork of up and coming student artists and also raise awareness of the positive effect art can have on children and adults with disabilities by helping them to communicate and convey their emotions.

Alexander’s in Rufus Court, a popular jazz bar, will be transformed into a gallery exhibiting various pieces of art by students of the University of Chester. Along with this, acoustic acts will be performing so that guests can enjoy the artwork along with music at a volume that allows mingling and interaction with the artists themselves. There will be a raffle with various prizes. A competition will also take place in which guests can vote for their favourite showcased artist and the student with the most votes will be crowned Chester’s best new artist.

This event will raise money and awareness for a great cause whilst also giving students from the University the opportunity to showcase their work in a fun, relaxed and enjoyable environment.

The evening will feature live acoustic music from Tom Jarvis, a renowned singer/songwriter from Chester.

Jo Bayley, Team Leader of Inspire Events said: “We are excited to hold this event as it is a great opportunity to showcase talented University artists, whilst also raising money and awareness for a good cause. As a team, we are motivated and determined to make this event a success.”
