Students from the University of Chester are inviting fashion lovers from the region to attend what’s set to be one of the best vintage fashion shows that Chester has ever seen!

Vintage Events, a company run by Events Management students from the University, will be hosting ‘Timeless Tales’ an event which will showcase a range of vintage fashion styles from the 1920s to 1970s. After the live catwalk show, guests can soak up the mellow sounds of the live jazz band while enjoying a delicious cream tea.

Timeless Tales takes place at Northgate Church, Chester on Friday February 7, 2014 starting at 2pm. The event will finish at 5pm and tickets cost just £6.

All proceeds from the event will go towards Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity which aims to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.

Lauren Parkinson, one of the event organisers said: “We are looking forward to hosting this unusual event, discovering how fashion has changed over the decades with a beautiful range of vintage clothes on offer. We are particularly excited to be involved with this charity, raising money for MacMillan Cancer Support, and helping people to fight cancer.”

Sarah Page, Macmillan Cancer Support’s Cheshire Fundraising Manager added: “It is fantastic to hear about the event that students from the University of Chester are hosting.  We really appreciate their support and I hope Timeless Tales is a huge success. Macmillan Cancer Support provides medical, emotional, financial and practical support to people affected by cancer, their families and carers. We are 96% funded from donations from the public so support from the local community is vital in order for us to continue funding support services for local people affected by cancer.’”

Tickets for the event costing just £6, can be purchased in advance or guests can pay on the door. For more information or to purchase tickets telephone: 07580 052136 or e-mail:
