Chester wins radio award

Chester students have won silver in the Best Chart Show category of the 2014 Student Radio Awards.

This award is the latest in a successful run of recent nominations and awards for the University's Cat Radio station.

Last month two of the Department's radio graduates were nominated for prestigious O2 Media Awards and our radio station won a Jerusalem broadcasting award.

And earlier this year Radio Production programme leader David Grimshaw was named by the Chester Students' Union as the University's most inspiring lecturer.

"We're all incredibly proud of the achievements of our students and graduates," said Head of Media, Dr Alec Charles. "This is turning out to be a great year for radio at Chester!"
