In joining the HR Department in this newly-established role, the role holder will report directly to the HR Manager (Policy and Case Management) and work alongside the other generalist HR Business Partners and HR Advisers within the Resourcing and Business Support Team in the delivery of exemplary HR services.

The purpose of this role is to ensure that the HR Department is able to manage problems efficiently and effectively as and when they occur and perhaps more importantly, that it is able to proactively manage employee relationships so as to achieve a better dynamic across the University and a better performance from the workforce. 

You should have a degree or equivalent qualification in addition to having Chartered Membership of the CIPD and be able to demonstrate substantial and appropriate HR experience.  You must also have a track record of managing ER cases within a fast paced environment, including supporting and acting as procedural adviser at formal investigations and hearings.
