Following the opening of the University’s North West Food Research-Development Centre (NoWFOOD), which was made possible by funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the University of Chester, an exciting opportunity has arisen to work in this new and developing project.  We are looking for a Food Development Scientist - Sensory to undertake research and provide technical support in the four laboratories at the Centre, and in particular the sensory unit.

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic person, with a demonstrable capability to conduct and manage research projects with both high academic and industrial bias. You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to self-manage and to engage effectively with all stakeholders.

You should have a University degree or equivalent qualification in a food science or science-related discipline with additional sensory qualifications. In addition, you will have experience of sensory research, techniques and initiatives together with a working knowledge of the food and drink sector.
