FLOODING: AVOIDING THE KNEE-JERK RESPONSES

Part of the Geography & International Development Research Seminar Series, Dr Lynda Yorke from Bangor University comes to talk about ‘Flooding: Avoiding the Knee-Jerk Responses’.

Dr Lynda Yorke is a Lecturer in Physical Geography at Bangor University.  Her research interests include river response to Quaternary environmental change; riverine flooding, hazards and risk; and human-river interactions. 

In this seminar, Dr Yorke will discuss integrated and holistic approaches to flood risk, river management and community resilience.
