The route is easy and for all abilities

Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or someone who’s thinking of taking up cycling this spring, come along to the Department of Geography and International Development’s organised cycle on Wednesday 16th of March at 1pm.

Cycling is a cost and energy effective mode of transport and this year the department has decided to promote it to all staff and students as an alternative mode of transport. The department is running an organised 7.5 mile cycle from the department to Mickletrafford and back along a traffic free route. We will be stopping at a Café at the half way point to support local business and rest and fuel up for the trip back!

The route is easy and for all abilities and will be led by Anthony Cliffe from the department. This event is to get you on your bike in a supportive and friendly environment and to show you one of the main traffic free cycle routes from the department. We hope after this quiet taster ride that you’ll take up cycling for spring and summer, so you’ll be happier, healthier and greener!

Please see attached for the route details. All bike types suitable.
We will depart outside of the Best Building, Parkgate road campus, at around 1pm. If you require anymore details please email a.cliffe@chester.ac.uk

We hope to see you on your bike!
