Dr Mandy Urquhart is voted Chester University’s ‘Most Inspiring Lecturer’ by students!

Chester Students’ Union in partnership with the University of Chester proudly presented the fourth Above And Beyond (AAB) awards at an evening ceremony on Tuesday 7th June 2016. These awards are voted for by students to recognise excellent teaching, support services and Student Academic Reps within the university.

The department is delighted to report that Dr Mandy Urquhart, Psychology Senior Lecturer, won the award for ‘Most Inspiring Lecturer’ across the university. Mandy said that “This award means so much to me.  The student experience is so important, and I feel privileged to be in a position where I can inspire students to be the best that they can be.  I have the best job in the world”.

In addition, Mandy was also nominated for the Most Innovative Lecturer award and Most Outstanding Personal Academic Tutor award.  Several members of staff within the department were also shortlisted or nominated for awards as follows:
