Media fans

Media lecturer Dr Mark Duffett has published a chapter in a new book about media fandom.

The book, Seeing Fans: Representations of Fandom in Media and Popular Culture, was published this summer by Bloomsbury Press. Mark's chapter explores music fandom and disability.

Mark is a renowned expert on the culture of fandom and has written the book Understanding Fandom. Mark has also edited the books Fan Identities and Practices in Context and Popular Music Fandom.

Mark teaches on our media, film and music journalism programmes.
