Fundamental Skills for Nursing Children

This module is designed to meet the needs of registered health professionals and practitioners working in a variety of clinical areas where children attend on a regular basis, and for non-children’s registered nurses working in child specific care environments.

The aim of the module is to enable students to develop and apply child-specific knowledge and skills to nursing children and families in practice, and use this new knowledge to enhance the quality of child health provision within their role and clinical setting.

 

By the end of the module, you will be able to provide safe and effective evidence- based and child focused practice within your work environment, utilising new knowledge and skills to evaluate and enhance provision.
