Lisa Conway

Senior Lecturer (WBIS and CMDA) and Lead Apprenticeships Coordinator (Degree Level Apprenticeships)

Lisa lectures both full-time undergraduate students, and work-based students.  She is Module Leader for Organisational Management, Practical Marketing Communications, Retail Management and Managing People, as well as leading on student experience for Degree Level Apprentices.

Before joining the University as a Senior Lecturer, Lisa spent much of her career leading large teams within both commercial and public sector organisations. She has also worked successfully as a Management Consultant, helping organisations to develop and implement business development strategies and transformation projects.

Lisa began her career in retail, in both store and head office management positions with well-known brands including Sainsbury's and Dorothy Perkins.

Subsequently, she spent several years in Senior Management roles within local government with particular expertise in the fields of economic development, regeneration, business growth, adult skills, learning and employability and with research interests in reaching the hard-to-reach to impact social mobility.

Continuing these interests in developing people and businesses, she is currently Vice Chair of the West Cheshire board of Young Enterprise.

As a member of the University's alumni, having completed her Master of Science in Management with Marketing here at the Business School, Lisa is particularly keen to pass the baton and help other University of Chester students to fulfil their potential.
