Department represented at Primate Society of Great Britain meeting

Last week, both Dr Sonya Hill and Dr Alison Fletcher attended the Primate Society of Great Britain (PSGB) conference just down the road in Manchester.

This was a two-day spring conference, held jointly at Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Salford. Fascinating talks and posters spanned a variety of topics and taxa, not just on primates, and even included reference to some of Dr Chrissy Stanley’s former research on the Carneddau ponies of North Wales! Sonya is a Council Member of the PSGB, and so she also attended the Council Meeting prior to the conference. Council’s plans are well underway for the 2017 Winter Meeting to celebrate 50 years of PSGB. It will be held at the Royal Geographical Society in London with the society’s patron, Dr Jane Goodall DBE.
