Held at the on-campus venue, Bar TwentyTen, the event was organised by University of Chester music production students within the Department of Media at the Warrington Campus. It was a chance for them to showcase music acts they have been fully developing and recording over the course of the year.

Performers included local acts and current students including Emma Taylor, Brazen Swagger, Seegulls, Inside View, Danxia, Dirty Vertebrae, Kris Evans and DJ Tommie Watts.

One of the organisers, Tommie Watts, who also DJ’d at the event and is studying Commercial Music Production and Radio Production, said: “As a group, we have been planning this annual event from October last year. Arranging Aspiration Live 2017 has been a challenging yet rewarding experience for us all, it demonstrates what it takes to plan and manage an unsigned live music gig.

“We're delighted with the outcome of the event and happy to say it was a great success.”

Programme Leader Jim Mason, said: “The quality of the acts this year was exceptionally high, and the show looked and sounded fantastic, all thanks to the efforts and hard work of our students."
