Keynote Presenters:  


Sir Simon Wessely is Regius Professor of Psychiatry and Co-Director, King’s Centre for Military Health Research and Academic Department of Military Mental Health, Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience at King’s College London.  Sir Simon is the Civilian Consultant Advisor in Psychiatry to the British Army and a trustee of Combat Stress.

Mr Ben McBean was called a hero by Prince Harry after he returned from Afghanistan where Ben had sustained horrific injuries after he stepped on a Taliban landmine in 2008 whilst serving with the Royal Marines. He ran his first London Marathon just 12 months after losing two limbs and yet again 12 months after that - the 2nd time without realising he had a stress fracture in his stump. Ben has climbed to Everest Base Camp and completed the Three Peaks Challenge. Amongst other achievement, Ben is a motivational speaker and an entrepreneur and will tell his story.
