Posted on 15th June 2017

The Department’s conservation biology research group hosted Dr Meryl Gelling of Oxford University’s WildCRU on 15th June 2016. Dr Gelling presented her latest results on Trichomonas sp. infection in water voles and current findings on streamside vegetation management’s impact on habitat use by water voles.

During the presentation Meryl provided her unique insights on how conservation research on the species was providing guidance for current management, and where current challenges in the conservation of these species still remain. The talk was very much enjoyed by a range of students and staff from the department.
