Faculty of Science and Engineering, University of Chester

The University of Chester is a proud delivery partner of the ERDF funded Eco-Innovation

Cheshire and Warrington. The Faculty of Science and Engineering has a number of three year PhD and one year Masters by Research studentships which attract a tax exempt stipend of £15,000 per annum, starting in September 2017. Led by SMEs in the Cheshire and Warrington areas, these projects are driving the transition to a lower carbon economy.

The Faculty has a highly collegiate approach to research which falls across traditional departmental boundaries.  Current research in energy storage, fuel cells, smart grids, sustainable processing and bioenergy is supported by superb facilities in analytical/surface science, software development, electronics and pilot scale process technology.
