Lance Dobson Hall, University of Chester (Warrington Campus)

Suicide is the biggest killer of young people – male and female – under 35 in the UK. PAPYRUS believes that many young suicides are preventable and everyone can play a role in preventing young suicide. As the only national charity dedicated to preventing young suicide PAPYRUS was founded in 1997 and remains steadfast in the desire that no one should have to go through the heartbreak of losing a loved one to suicide. PAPYRUS offers direct confidential support to young people at risk of suicide, their parents and anyone concerned about a young person they know, through HOPELineUK. PAPYRUS is a campaigning organisation and works nationally to deliver awareness and prevention training, influence national policy, and empower young people to lead suicide prevention activities in their own communities.

This is a free event which will be of interest to both specialist and non-specialist colleagues, staff, students and members of the local community. We anticipate that this event will be extremely popular, so please book tickets early.
