Park and Ride

Limited parking is available at Parkgate Road Campus. In order to avoid disappointment, we highly recommend using one of the free park and ride locations detailed below, only a short bus ride from the city centre.

Take the stress out of parking and avoid traffic
Cheshire West and Chester local authority

Take the stress out of parking and avoid traffic by using one of the four park and ride locations around Chester.

The park and ride bus service runs every 10 minutes at peak times and every 15 minutes off -peak (subject to city centre traffic conditions) to various drop off and pick up points in the city centre.

Car parking is free, and the Adult return bus fare costs £2, with up to two accompanied children (under 16 years) travelling free. Tickets are obtained from on site machines so please ensure you have change.

For ease on the day, we recommend using the Park and Ride which will drop you off closest to the campus you are wishing to visit. A printable Public Transport and Walking Guide is available here for you to download.

Parkgate Road Campus: the Sealand Road service (CH1 4LQ*) stops at the Bus Exchange

Riverside Campus: the Wrexham Road service (CH4 9DE*) stops on Wrexham Road

Kingsway Buildings: the Upton Service (CH2 1EU*) stops at Chester Train Station

Please note: These are approximate postcode locations. For greatest accuracy, we recommend using the Park and Ride map and timetable available from the Cheshire West and Chester local authority website.

Don't forget, if you are using the Park and Ride, you may need directions and maps from the city to the campus.  Parkgate Road Campus is a 10-15 minute walk from the city centre.
