Primary School Activities

At the University of Chester, we believe that it’s never too early to start thinking about your future.

Campus Visits

Our ‘Introduction to University’ presentations and workshops are appropriately tailored to primary school pupil, providing key information to make an informed decision about their future.

Our interactive campus visits are bursting with a variety of aspirational and teambuilding activities. We recognise that every school and its students are different and we pride ourselves on uniquely tailoring each visit to your requirements.

At the end of each visit every student has the special opportunity to try out a cap and gown and ‘graduate’ in the university chapel to reward their participation.

Transition Events

We understand that progressing from primary to secondary school can be a daunting time for students. We are committed to building excellent links with a variety of Secondary schools and this includes helping to welcome new students into Year 7.

Our transition events can be tailored to your requirements but in all visits we are dedicated to:

  • Raising aspirations and confidence
  • Encouraging participation in team building activities
  • Engaging students through workshops and drama performances
  • ‘Making a friend’ prior to starting secondary school

Our ‘graduation’ ceremony at the end of each transition event gives students a sense of pride in their achievement and a taste for future success!

We are also happy to visit your school and deliver creative introduction to university sessions, providing students with a real grasp of higher education and its benefits.
