Secondary School Activities

At the University of Chester, we work closely with secondary schools to help raise students’ aspirations and discuss exciting future opportunities.

We deliver bespoke events, which are carefully designed according to your schools and colleges requirements.

Let Us Come to You

We understand that it is not always possible to take students away from their school to attend a campus visit. Therefore, we have designed a series of Information, Advice and Guidance presentations and workshops that can be delivered within schools.

Our presentations and workshops are designed to be aspirational, providing students with important, valuable information about higher education, enabling them to make informed choices about their future

Come and See Us

In order to gain a full grasp of university life, we think it is best experienced first-hand!

Our taster events can be topical or generic but will usually include a combination of taster lectures, presentations, performing arts workshops and campus tours to name just a few interactive activities.

Subject Specific Sessions

We can arrange for our academics to deliver a variety of taster sessions within your centre, or offer a tailor-made, subject specific visit to one of our campuses.

Residential Visits

Residential visits allow students to take part in a jam packed event schedule on our campus and spend an evening in university owned accommodation.

A residential visit provides an authentic ‘student life experience’ that can include:

  • Spending time with current Student Ambassadors
  • Enjoying social time in the Student Union
  • Mixing with new people and making new friends
  • Visiting Chester’s’ cultural city

Residential visits are particularly successful when delivered as a collaborative event with other schools.

If you would like to arrange an event, but can’t see it listed above please make an enquiry outlining what your requirements are including: age/year group, group size and any other relevant information.
