Sixth Form and Colleges

We understand that the decision to come to university is increasingly more challenging for students. For a lot of people, it is even more so when they may be the first person in their family to consider applying.

Often, students are looking for support and guidance regarding how to choose a university or course, the implications of student finance or just how university student life differs from that of a Sixth Former or College student.

Here at the University of Chester, we offer impartial information, advice and guidance in the form of interactive, aspiration raising sessions and presentations, in your school or college and at bespoke on-campus events.

Topics can include:

  • How to apply
  • Completing your UCAS Application
  • Choosing a University
  • Personal Statements
  • Student Finance

Students can also benefit from visiting our campuses, to sample the life of our University of Chester undergraduates, meet the current students and find out first-hand what they think of the University.  Students can sample interactive, engaging sessions and presentations to gain both general and subject specific information, advice and guidance from our enthusiastic lecturers and, of course, our outreach team.

Benefits of On Campus events:

  • The opportunity to meet undergraduates and get first-hand experience and advice
  • Events are tailored to your students’ needs
  • The chance to sample first year undergraduate lectures in a variety of subjects
  • Interactive, informative workshops
  • Time given to look around our facilities and enjoy our friendly campus
