Not Dead

Alicia Wright is in the first year of her combined honours degree in Creative Writing and English.

We haven’t spoken since I died

which, to be honest

I find kinda rude.

Sure, maybe I bit off more than

I could chew, but those brains were tasty and

I swear I wouldn’t do that to you.

I thought family meant looking beyond looks?

I may be rotting, and a bit gooey, but I

haven’t changed too much.

I’ll try not to drool as I gaze blankly at you;

just don’t call me dead, it’s racist and untrue.

I’m technically undead, just like you.
