Vicarage Open-Mic night
Run by the Pandora’s Box team, these regular open-mic readings always provide a great evening, offering a really relaxed and fun way to hear (and read) some terrific writing. Bring a drink, something to read (poetry or short prose; your own writing, or something by a favourite author), or just come along to listen. All welcome (not only students of the English Department).
The final open-mic night for this academic year is THURSDAY 19TH APRIL, 7:30pm, in CVC008 (Vicarage). We hope to see you there!

Cellar Door Open-Floor Poetry
Cellar Door is a poetry collective based in Chester. We run regular open-floor nights, readings and other thought-provoking recitals and performances in order to encourage participation in the reading, writing and delivery of poetry across the region and beyond. We hope to develop public awareness, appreciation and interaction within this art, making it more accessible, insightful and fun.
Our open-mic evenings, held on the first Monday of the month in The Bear and Billet, are informal, friendly and hopefully very interesting. We provide a space for people of all ages to read their own material or poems by a favourite writer.
