Bob is University of Chester Link Tutor for Wirral University Teaching Hospital and Associate Tutor Advisor for Driving Mobility with whom CWRS have a joint delivery programme.  He is also Lead Tutor for the Mentoring and Effective Leadership modules.

Overview

Professional background: long experience in Higher Education in UK, France (University of Nice) and Saudi Arabia (King Faisal Air Academy).  Former Chief Instructor of Al-Yammah English Language Academy, associated with King AbdulAziz University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Academic background: modern languages and applied linguistics, teaching mainly French, English as a Foreign Language and English for Specific Purposes, but also German and Italian.  Bob is a strong advocate of work-based learning in Higher Education and has been a passionate advocate of WBIS since joining CWRS in 2008.

Specific academic interests: spoken and written communication and work-based learning. Bob enjoys promoting academic progress through CWRS’s specialised work-based modules known as ‘NELMs’ (Negotiated Experiential Learning Modules).
