European Languages and Global Cultures

MA

The MA in European Languages and Cultures is designed to appeal to a wide range of suitable graduates. It is a two-year, part-time programme with a high degree of flexibility, which will make it accessible for students from beyond the local area and to those with professional or other commitments.

Campus Chester
Course MA
Length 2 Years Part-time
Start dates Throughout the year

The programme combines the study of a major European language - French, German or Spanish - and the examination of European cultures.

Students will apply research skills to the acquisition of in-depth knowledge and understanding of European identities and cultural manifestations within their political and historical contexts.

The core modules provide a solid basis for the scholarly appraisal of significant aspects of the development of European identities and cultures, whilst the dissertation provides an opportunity for the detailed examination of an area which is of particular interest to each student.
