This breadth of delivery will enable students to access the knowledge and skills to lead and deliver to the emerging children's integrated workforce agenda. The curriculum has been designed to ensure a cohesive student experience across the three faculties. This framework enables students to have maximum flexibility to choose option modules tailored to their individual educational needs and the requirements of their work environment.
It is important for employers to develop an effective and well educated workforce to meet the needs of their clients and ensure added value in an environment of finite resources. This MA programme will provide a framework which includes a number of postgraduate certificates exit awards. It is recognised that students may have already followed a specialised programme of study in the form of a postgraduate certificate or single modules relevant to their work.
The flexible structure will enable entry to the programme at an appropriate level and progression to a full Master's degree. In addition the programme also provides flexibility to include selected clusters of modules to suit the professional needs of the student. Owing to the focus of this MA programme, only approved options from a specified range will be available, as negotiated with the programme leader.
These programmes and modules must contain learning outcomes that meet specified benchmarks. Core Modules For further examples of delivery mode and awards please see Section 1.2 and Appendix 2 of Programme Management Document. Transfer of previously acquired credits and module approval Up to 60 credits at level 7 may be brought into the MA programme from approved postgraduate modules.
Please note: that to meet approval, the modules must have been mapped against, for example, health, social care, education, business, children and young people's benchmarks, and other criteria as will be specified in the handbook for this programme.
