Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses in Flood Risk Management & Resilience

The recent flood events in the UK provide a timely reminder of the impacts and consequences of our changing climate.  Floods are presenting an increased threat to our infrastructure, life and livelihood. Over 5 million people in England and Wales live and work in properties that are at risk of flooding from rivers and/or the sea and this number is set to increase (EA, 2013).

In addition, the growing threat from pluvial floods and pressures on flood defence funding, there is an urgent need to develop more holistic and integrated strategies to manage the threat of flooding particularly in high risk areas. In so doing, we can create a more flood resilient society.
