Dave has been at the University of Chester, Warrington and its predecessor institutions since 1991. 

Prior to joining the University, Dave's career evolved from delivering a range of outdoor activity focused educational initiatives to teaching sport and leisure related courses in the FE sector. Dave is currently the Programme Leader for the BA (Hons) Sport Development and BA (Hons) Sport Development and Coaching Programmes.

Within the community Dave is actively involved in a range of sporting activities both as a participant and as a volunteer. In terms of the latter, Dave is with the management of COMAST, the City of Manchester’s elite swim programme.



Dave teaches across all three years on both Foundation Degree and BA (Honours) Degree undergraduate programmes at the Warrington campus. His present teaching includes the following modules:
